In episode 2 of “Numbers” Jang Ho-Woo refuses to join Han Seung-Jo’s team as his Joker. Meanwhile, Han Je-Kyun is not concerned about An Seung-Yeon competing for the position of company president. He has planted a café run by hearing-impaired individuals as his informant and learns that An Seung-Yeon plans to resign due to heart disease. He also hints at something bigger happening soon.

Jang Ho-Woo volunteers to obtain an unattainable financial institution verification letter, and he successfully acquires it in a way that benefits everyone. This is what accountants call a “transaction.” Kang Hyun witnesses Jang Ho-Woo’s abilities but still disagrees with Sim Hyeong-Woo forcing him into their team.

Han Je-Kyun assigns the Sanga Group acquisition case from Wanjong Entertainment to Han Seung-Jo. Han Seung-Jo realizes this tactic is similar to how Yangsun Construction was swallowed up. The death of Jang In-Ho also causes him to lose Jang Ji-Soo, so this time he refuses.

Jang Ho-Woo joins the audit team at Wanjong Entertainment (actually sent by Sim Hyeong-Woo to monitor Kang Hyun). He notices discrepancies in the inventory assets on the reports and decides to investigate the company’s past operations seriously.

He believes there must be something wrong, which leads Kang Hyun to discover serious fraud involving concealing losses and hiding the fact that Wanjong Entertainment is on the verge of bankruptcy. At the same time, he also uncovers Sim Hyeong-Woo’s plan for stock manipulation through acquisitions for Han Je-Kyun’s profit-making purposes. Naturally, Kang Hyun refuses to cooperate with such criminal activities but faces threats from Han Je-Kyun and struggles internally.

Kang Hyun believes that human desires will always find loopholes in a perfect accounting system. However, Jang Ho-Woo’s anger and envy towards him for having the power to correct mistakes make Kang Hyun realize that he has the ability to make life-changing decisions. He chooses to stay true to himself and uproot the corruption, ultimately resigning from his position. He is confident that Jang Ho-Woo will have a bright future ahead of him.
